Probably produced around the middle of the 20th century this lathe comes with a good range of accessories and is in very useable condition. It is an essential tool for anyone involved in the repair or restoration of vintage clocks and/or watches. This lathe uses 6.5mm collets and comes with the following. Headstock – which rotates freely and has no discernable float or play. It is inscribed G Boley. Tailstock also inscribed G Boley. Foot – inscribed Lorch – but fits well. Faceplate with centring runner (in lid). 6 jaw chuck (rare item). 32 6.5 mm collets – all checked for fit to headstock. Step chucks – not a Boley set but useful and all checked for fit. Dead centre carrier with male and female centres. Offset carrier, cone plates, jacot drum, drilling & centring runners. Tailstock drilling runner plus male/female and other centres. Headstock tapered collet plus inserts. Tailstock & headstock safety carriers. Plus other items as can be seen in the pictures. The lathe and accessory set comes in a nice original box complete with key. Overall the lathe is in good useable condition. All parts work smoothly and accessories have all been checked for fit and operation. There is some flaking and tarnish of the original nickel plating on some items (headstock, tailstock etc) as can be seen from the pictures.
