Most Holtzapffels could only turn wood or ivory. There super rare machines were used to turn round stock, and then to index it as rotating cutters were passed along the sides or in the end to create complex geometric patterns that are really astounding to see! Many boxwood chucks are included as is a steady rest, faceplate and plain turning rest. Also included is a mahogany cabinet full of chase threading masters, several cutting frames and cutting drills. A cone clutch is also included for powering the machine by motor (not included). This is not original but very practical! The quality of workmanship is phenomenal!
