Unimat SL1000 Lathe, Milling Column, Three-Jaw Chuck, Milling Table, +More
Unimat SL1000 in Very Good Condition, Many Extras. This is a used Unimat SL1000 in good working order. That’s why it is a slightly different color. There is yet a third incomplete DB200 tailstock with a brass thread reducer installed. Including is the milling column and mount, the tool rest for woodturning, the three jaw chuck, the milling table (missing two screws, see picture), an extra tool holder, and the grinding wheel mount. They allow the headstock to use accessories from other manufacturers. One is ¾ 16 t. The standard used on Sherline, Taig, and Craftsman lathes. Another is 3/8 24 t. The standard used on the Taig lathe tailstock (shown mounted in main picture). I believe that the other two were for using accessories from later, larger Emco lathes, but I dont have the documentation to be certain. They provide access to a wide variety of accessories on the market today. There other small parts I cant identify. I don’t know what the metal bracket in the upper right is, but I believe it is related to the lathe. There are a few indentations on insulation on the cord. None of them reach the wiring underneath. You will likely want to put some electrical tape on them or replace the cord. The case is a very well used but sturdy aluminum one I found that was the appropriate size. It isnt pretty, but very secure and comes with both a handle and shoulder strap. The small wood box for holding accessories is held in place by several screw heads and is pinned in place when the top is closed. Also included are a photocopy of the original DB200 (differs little from the SL1000), 40 pages, and the “Unimat Miniature Machining Techniques” book, 44 pages. The SL1000 manual is downloadable from the Web. The item “Unimat SL1000 Lathe, Milling Column, Three-Jaw Chuck, Milling Table, +More” is in sale since Saturday, January 19, 2019.
