Up for sale is an 1885 Millers Falls Companion Treadle Lathe with the extremely rare Scroll Saw Attchment in great condition. This Companion model, cast iron, foot pedal powered Lathe was released in 1885 by the Millers Falls Company in Miller Falls, Massachusetts. The piece measures approximately 32 tall, 27 wide, and 17 deep. The original black paint is mostly intact but does show some wearing and minor surface rust in some areas. The moving parts including the original wooden scroll saw arms are in great condition and function as they should. The wooden brace between the foot pedal and flywheel is present but damaged at the mounting as you can see in the photo however it is there to have a replacement made. The original drive belts are included for reference but there are extremely stiff and brittle. It is believe this piece is 1885 however these tools were not dated from the factory when manufactured.
