This Atlas Lathe is a model QC54 which will swing 6″ over the carriage or 10″ over the ways with 36 between centers. It has 8 speeds in belt drive and 8 speeds in back gears. It has a quick change gear box. It has seen little use and the ways show no wear. Everything works and has been oiled and is ready to go to work. It has a live center in the tail stock, a three jaw 6″ chuck, a 4 jaw 6″ chuck, a Jacobs chuck, tail stock pads for drilling round or flat work, a threading dial on the carriage, Steady Rest, Follower Rest, Face Plate, 6 dogs of different sizes, a complete milling attachment plus milling cutters and cutting tool blanks. I have installed a new three wire power cord with a three pronged plug so the machine is grounded. I can load this on a truck or trailer with a fork lift. There is dust on some parts from over 30 years of storage. The cast Iron legs on the tail stock end have some rust on them. A great old machine with lots of life and is ready to go to work.
