The tool is in dream condition. This tool is used to determine the length of the main spring when exchanging it (for pocket and wrist watches, with a frequency of 18000 an hour). The tool is made of two parts, on the bottom there is a precision balance and a grappler on the top. The motion frequency for testing can be altered. The grappler is a bit like tweezers which can also be put in different positions. Even though these tools have been made around the 1900’s they are still being used by watchmakers nowadays. This antique tool is absolutely beautiful and very decorative, an absolute stunner and eye catcher for decoration in a watch shop or a real highlight for a collector.
