An early machine enthusiast can only appreciate a complete version of an 1880’s industrial age era machine… Not to many of these are left in there foot operated condition because most of them were converted to line-shaft operation or motorized when electricity came about. Patent dates on machine are as follows Feb/March 1876 on pedals. And Sept 21,1880 / Feb15,1887 on back of bed. Features include: 4 1/2″ radius 9″ swing diameter 24 between centers Wood drawer tool & bit console Original standard issue three jaw chuck. (very rare) Twin lead screws and a host of (12) change gears to configure for different feeds & thread pitch sizes. Listing is for the complete lathe and what is on it only. Some folks would rather see it left natural or it could easily be restored back to museum quality with metal transformer & then painted.
