Check my other listings for more Levin items. This lathe is from an aerospace company that closed in California. It was an old school manual machinery shop turning mostly brass and aluminum. This lathe was run in my shop for an hour without any issues. There is a coolant tank and pump that is untested. Please understand this was used in an aerospace environment. This was not tucked away in some watchmakers shop. There may be wear consistent with a lathe used in a production shop. I have lightly cleaned and tested everything as best I can. There will be signs of use, but that shouldn’t affect the operations. Everything could be gone through and cleaned up for the best possible operations. If you want that unicorn lathe that is like new, please move on. I will not remove the tooling from the lathe but if you want to make an offer without some of the tooling let me know and I will consider that with your offer. You are welcome to come up to Minnesota and inspect everything for yourself. I also have a video available. I will do my best to write these up. This lathe is LOADED with tooling. All of it is currently available from Levin. The price next to each tooling number is the replacement cost. I will do my best to accurately describe everything. My guess is that is has been sitting for a long time and the oil has dried out, uses “WW” size collets, There is a crack in the backplate from over tightening the backstop. Dial indicator is sticky and should be replaced. Collet nut shows wear there it gets tightened, Slides smoothly same as 0410-01?
