Flip Rest tool stand. 16 8mm collets, sizes: 4,6,8,10,12,16,18,20,32,34,38,41,44,47,50,55. Many of the parts are marked LEVIN and most of the collets are LEVIN made. This lathe belonged to William (Bill) Meggers. Bill was instrumental in the classification and identification of American Pocket watches having written numerous books and catalogs that are still used as reference material by many of us in the watch industry. He was probably the most knowledgable person in the Horology field with respect to Illinois Pocket Watches. Bill was a member of the NAWCC chapter that I belong to. I obtained the lathe from his family after he passed away. This lathe is in great shape. Some of the finish shows cosmetic wear, but the bearings are tight and free spinning, the collets are not sprung, the table and compound have no damage to the work surfaces; overall this would be a great tool for anyone who works on watches.
