Drill bit is sharp. There are some score rings on the taper and a small flat. The Tracer Point live center, Morse taper 5 is really a beautiful center, solid rotating outer shell. Has typical wear rings in the point. This is made in Japan. The bearings are perfect. The Interstate MT 5 standard point live center is well used, also measures NO TIR that I can detect. The point has worn groove lines. The bearings are in. The back of the bearing housing has marks from being pried out of the tail stock ram. See the pics which show these marks. The MT 4 live center is a vintage standard point made by the Ready Tool Company. Nose has wear rings. A really NICE live center that can be fully disassembled. A good ole piece! I did not measure the TIR on the Ready, because I had already put my indicator away…. Then I found this third live center to sell. Should you be interested, I can measure it. From the feel of the bearings, I think the TIR will be to spec or better. There are typical dings, scratches and wear on this set of tools. In my opinion, these tools are all ready to use.
