I have had jewelers lathes before , but never like this one. The bed of the lathe measures 8 1/8” long. The flat section of the bed measures 3/4” wide. And it stands 3 1/4” above the table. All the parts, head stock , tail stocks fit the lathe bed perfectly. Some however, are missing the connecting bolt or tightening nut. There are two head stocks with spring action collet holders.. There is a collet in each one and there are 3 other collets that fit these two spring action head stocks.. There is one head stock that has a draw bar. There are 20 collets for this head stock (see picture 9) There are only part for compound cross slides. There is not a complete cross slide. There are some cool and very unusual sliding tail stocks, things I have never seen before. Most of the parts have numbers on them. There are no manufacturers names. Also quite a few are marked STD. I think it may be from the old Elgin national watch factory but can not be sure. Please see pictures for condition. Any information will be appreciated.
