Square head boring tool holder. You are looking at a vintage precision boring head. I acquired it out of an old Gerstner chest with tools from the 1940’s in it. I see no brand name anywhere. There are three letters which are probably someones initials. It is possible it is shop made. If so, it is extremely well made and no attention to detail was spared. I have fully inspected it and it shows minimal wear and moves free and is tight and not a worn out piece of scrap. When adjusting from one extreme to the other it has a 1 1/2 of travel. The head is 2 1/4 square. It is 5 1/4 from end of mounting shank to front of holder. It has a 5/8 straight shank. It accepts 3/4 tool holders. A very nice piece ready for you to use.
