RingMaster Precision Bowl Making Lathe
RingMaster Precision Bowl Making Lathe: This tool cuts concentric rings from 3/4 thick lumber at angles so they can be stacked to create bowls, vases, etc.. The benefit is that one does not start with a large cube of wood, only to machine away most of the material as chips. The unit works well and is in very good condition. 115V /230V, wired for 115V. For reference, see Ring Master — Woodworking — Precision Bowl Making — Lathe Tool at. In the photo with the blue tape, that is highlighting the two cutting tools used to cut the rings. The bowl shown was my first attempt – by using multiple rings, many shapes can be obtained. Laminating different woods together offers infinite possibilities for patterns within the bowl, vase, etc. I have made a few bowls with the machine but my interests lie mainly in furniture. Thank you for your interest. A couple details I neglected originally. I apologize for the omissions. I have since weighed the tool on a better scale. One shows a close up of the included magnetic RingMaster Pre-Set Gauge for aligning and setting the gap between cutting blades. Second photo shows the included tools and hardware: Pre-Set Gauge mentioned above, pair of new cutting blades, a round nosed cutter, a beveled cutter, three hex wrenches, and combination wrench for lock nut. I also found the original manuals for the RingMaster so they will be included. In the reply to a question, the reference to the 130+ page download is still valid.
