Vintage Derbyshire Elect Watchmakers Lathe w/ 18 Bed, Collet Holding Tailstock, Use 10mm Collets – see all 12 photos below. I acquired this lathe from a local estate about a month ago, it had been neglected & unused for many years and it looked very bad. This lathe works fine, but cosmetically it looks rough. I took almost every aspect of it apart, properly cleaned it, and lubricated everything. I did not take the headstock apart, the headstock looks decent and works fine, so I chose to leave it alone, the headstock was cleaned & lubricated. Cosmetically this lathe looks rough – worn finish, plating loss is some areas, rust spotting in places, the 2 lock down handles look very bad – but functionally it is good, everything works smoothly & easily. The collet drawbars were heavily rusted, they were chemically cleaned and polished, the drawbars look terrible with heavy pitting from where they were rusted, but they work fine. All parts have been wiped down with light coat of protective oil. The headstock is missing the 2 oiler caps and it is missing the screw/pin for locking the pulley in place, these pieces should be easy to replace. Includes 2 Derbyshire Magnus Elect collets.
