Vintage SOUTH BEND 9 Lathe Steady Rest 126 NR 1 / 125 N 1 SP Machinist Tool USA. This is a COOL Vintage SOUTH BEND 9 Lathe Steady Rest 126 NR 1 / 125 N 1 SP Machinist Tool USA. The (3) sliding jaws glide in and out as expected. All 3 show light wear (see pic). Frame paint shows some scratches and scuffs (see pic). All threads on the square set screws are good with no damage. There is a foundry stamp “126 NR 1 SP” on the top half (see pic). The base has a stamp of “SP 125 R1″ (see pic). Measures 9-3/4 long from top to base, 10-1/4 top to clamp. Base is 4-3/4 across. NO previous owners marks or etchings.
